I believe the best way to discover a city is through its flavours, stories, hidden gems, and its people. I created DaExperience to feel less like a scripted tour and more like exploring with a local friend who knows where the good bites and great stories are.
When I’m not guiding tours or hunting for the next great food spot, I’m usually acting, playing tennis, camping, or spending time outdoors with my little family.

Born in Ukraine and now based in Vancouver, I’ve discovered that wandering around, eating snacks, and talking to strangers is a surprisingly legitimate profession. When I’m not guiding food tours, you’ll probably find me hiking coastal trails, training martial arts, working on film sets, chasing hidden cafés, or plotting my next adventure.
What I love most about giving tours is watching people fall in love with Vancouver through its flavours and little local secrets. This city has an incredible mix of ocean, mountains, cultures, and creativity and sharing that energy plus some really good bites makes my heart twerk.

Born and raised in Vancouver, I realized early that the world was far too exciting not to explore. Travelling became my career for the last 20 years chasing great meals, new cultures, bold flavours, and the kinds of places you remember long after the flight home. A spicy tantan ramen inside the JR Tokyo station comes immediately to mind.
After years abroad, I’ve found my way back to Vancouver with an even deeper appreciation for the beauty of my city. These days, I’m happiest rediscovering her, one dish at a time. My current hyper-fixation: sesame fries with miso gravy from The Naam.

Born and raised in Costa Rica, but with a nomadic soul that eventually brought me to Vancouver. I love acting and traveling, and guiding feels like the perfect combination of both which is why I enjoy it so much. Plus, it gives me the chance to meet new people and share interesting and sometimes random facts about this amazing city.
I’m also a yoga teacher, and back home I owned a tourism company where I led bike tours and guided yoga practices next to waterfalls.
When I’m not guiding, you’ll usually find me auditioning, writing, acting, coaching, eating popcorn, or exploring the outdoors in beautiful British Columbia.

Being a food tour guide combines two of my favourite things: the city of Vancouver and food! I’m always excited to show new people the city I was born and raised in, and why it’s so great! Being a guide feels less like a job to me and more like meeting new friends from all over the world. I love hearing stories from people in all walks of life! Outside of being a guide, I call myself a true Vancouverite: you can catch me hiking, snowboarding, doing yoga, or enjoying the diverse music scene of the city. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

I was born and raised in Turkey and now call Vancouver home. I’ve always been drawn to the stories places and people carry, and I’ve found the best way into them is simple: sharing a meal, walking the city, and talking to locals.
I love telling stories as much as finding them, and guiding gives me a chance to share that with people. I also just enjoy meeting and connecting with new people in a small moment in their trip. Vancouver is one of those places where you can understand so much through food, and I love helping people experience that.
Outside of guiding, you’ll usually find me reading or writing in a library or coffee shop, teaching, or disappearing into history rabbit holes (Ottoman and Greek history especially). I’m slightly obsessed with carnivals and slowly learning modern Greek (slowly being the key word). When I want to switch off, I’m biking the Seawall, swimming, or getting out into nature.

I am a corporate girly by day, but outside of work I love self care and playing with my pets. I bet you can’t guess what they are!
I became a guide because I love food. Getting to share this passion with others brings me joy. I also really enjoy talking to new people and getting to know more about them and where they come from.
